Our practitioners will enhance your fasting process with this traditional Japanese therapy. They will work on your “hara” (abdomen) and on specific acupressure points on your back to help induce elimination 260 Baht, 1/2-hour session.
Ampuku means to ‘calm the abdomen' and is a massage treatment that focuses on the Hara, the body's energy center located in the centre of the abdomen.
Ampuku was developed in Japan, and was initially used as a branch of the ancient therapy of traditional Chinese massage.
It is said that if we practice Ampuku, blockages of Chi (energy flow) will be released and harmony among the vital organs will increase, improving blood circulation.
Working on the abdomen in this way helps to stabilise the functioning of the digestive system, and help with any issues such as constipation, irritable bowel, gastritis, etc. It can also help to improve any problems with the respiratory system such as asthma, and shortness of breath. It can be very effective for headaches and migraines, rheumatic pain, discomfort and stress. If you receive an Ampuku treatment regularly it can also be helpful with reproductive system problems, such as fertility.
At The Spa we recommend an Ampuku treatment about an hour before a colema to help the cleansing process.
