Guy & Toi Hopkins met in 1987 and embarked on a journey of health and wellness together. Guy is from California in the USA. Toi is from the Esan region of North-eastern Thailand.
Early on Guy was perplexed by the lack of information on how to best live a healthy life. What would it take to make us all feel healthy and happy? Is there a way to great health and longevity?
After studying at the Redwood College of Holistic Health in California in 1980, Guy decided to create a destination spa location in Thailand – combining the best of Asian massage principles (Toi has a family-lineage of traditional Thai massage expertise), Buddhist philosophy and newly learned health regimens.
The Spa Resorts opened on May 15th, 1992 on Koh Samui. Today, The Spa Resorts are in four locations: Samui Beach, Samui Village, Koh Chang and its’ flagship location is in the rolling hills of rural Chiang Mai.
Over the years, The Spa Resorts have been blessed with a loyal clientele, guests with compelling backgrounds from all over the world, creating a wonderful community.
